PLATO i<\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 20px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">s a national support, advocacy and resource-sharing organization for teachers, parents, philosophers and others involved in teaching philosophy to pre-college students. Launched by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apaonline.org\/governance\/committees\/pre-college\/index.aspx\">Committee on Pre-College Instruction in Philosophy<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apaonline.org\/\">American Philosophical Association<\/a>, PLATO\u2019s goal is to attain a visible, national presence, and to advocate in both the philosophical and educational communities for more pre-college philosophy instruction.
